mSwitch Operation Management Center --Switching (OMC-S) is a management subsystem that manages all core network devices used in mSwitch IMS, covering network management layer and network entity (NE) management layer in TMN. It is designed with html and Java-swing GUIs to implement various functions needed in network and NE management, such as configuration, fault, performance, security, operation and maintenance, as well as the management for NMS itself.
The OMC-S can manage the following NEs:
- NEs at the service control layer: P-I-S-CSCF, MGCF, BGCF, ENUM/DNS, TEL AS, MRS and so on.
- Core network NEs and terminals: SBC, SWITCH, FIREWALL, IP terminals.
- Servers in mBOSS (such as PSC, AC, SAM, OBS, CSS and so on)
- NEs in OMC-S itself, including OMC-S Server, OMC-S Client, and so on.
